Today, the Water Technology division encompasses a mix of tried and tested input products and innovative specialist solutions. These are complemented by a range of services, which further reinforces DONAU CHEMIE’s position as a provider of high- quality products and services. In this field, our product portfolio ranges from municipal and industrial effluent treatments to the purification of drinking water and cleaning and hygiene products for swimming pools.
With our active move into PAC production, we are now also aiming towards technological dominance in the field of modern aluminium-based sewage and effluent solutions.





Sewage Treatment

Many years’ experience in the treatment of municipal and industrial effluents has made us a leading operation in the field of active waste management.

In this field, we have won points with our traditional iron (III) chloride product Donau Klar® and with the recent challengers Donau PAC® and Donau ALF® as a mixed product and the polymer products in the Donau Multifloc range.

Purification of Drinking Water

Demand for safe drinking water will increase further in the future, with the topic of safety playing a crucial role: in this connection: safety in the 100% destruction of pathogens, safety in broad-spectrum effects, safety in sustained product application – all this and more has to be satisfied. In addition, we are moving into aluminium-based purification technology, which will set quality standards in this field over the next few years. We are, for example, positioning our product Calcifloc with this in mind.

Paper

The production of paper in an aqueous system is a highly complex process involving the interaction of people, machines, the raw material timber and the chemicals that are used. In recent years Donau PAC papyro nil has become increasingly important in the industry as a fixing agent for starch and glue.

Donau PAC products also optimally remove harmful colloidal substances. The close cooperation between our development, production and sales teams and our customers enables us to find customer-specific solutions. Innovative thinking is our strength.

Dealing with Sewer Odour

Our range of products and services has demonstrated its effectiveness in combating the unpleasant topic of sewer odour in many areas. The success of Donau Bellair is based on a combination of engineering and technical consultancy services and proven products that effectively stop anaerobic putrefaction processes.

Water Treatment for Public Swimming Pools

Our expertise in connection with a capacious range of high-class products assures the safe and hygienic operating of public swimming pools. Safety is one of our very top priorities, which is why we also offer safety and application training courses which can last from anywhere between two hours and a day. In Carinthia and Lower Austria chlorine gas, pH increasers, pH decreasers and flocculants are produced in pure and top quality. This domestic production ensures reliable delivery and also contributes to creating employment in Austria.
